Check Back in 2025 for Spring Field Trips!
Here is some information about our 2024 field trips. This will be updated for our 2025 field trips in the beginning of the year.
We understand that every group is unique, which is why we offer a hybrid field trip experience that combines self-guided exploration with guided activities. This means your group can navigate through various stations at their own pace, and create the ideal field trip!
Here's a sneak peek of what your students can look forward to during their visit:
- Hayrides (guided): Hop aboard our charming hayrides for a scenic tour through our fields. Our knowledgeable guides will share interesting tidbits about the farm, offering an educational and enjoyable experience for all.
- Pumpkin Planting (guided): Discover the magic of the pumpkin life cycle firsthand! Students will learn how pumpkins grow from seed to harvest. Each participant will even have the chance to plant their very own pumpkin in our fields, which they can later return to pick during the fall.
- Spookley Story Walk (self-guided): "Spookley the Square Pumpkin" is a children's book written by Joe Troiano. It tells the story of Spookley, a unique square-shaped pumpkin who faces teasing and exclusion from other pumpkins because of his shape. Despite his differences, Spookley proves that being different is okay and learns to embrace his uniqueness. The book teaches valuable lessons about acceptance, tolerance, and the importance of being true to oneself. Your group will follow signs that tell the story of Spookley. It's a great opportunity for a read aloud, or for older kids to practice reading!
- Bee Room (self-guided): Step into the fascinating world of bees as your students explore our Bee Room. They will have the opportunity to learn about the equipment used in beekeeping, examine an empty hive, and gain valuable insights into the life cycle and importance of these essential pollinators.
- Animals (self-guided): Meet and interact with our friendly farm animals and uncover fun facts about cows, goats, sheep, chickens, and more.
- Activity Fields (self-guided): Students can burn off energy in our ball zone, enjoy thrilling slides, and explore various play areas, providing a perfect balance of education and recreation.

Animals
On our farm we have many animals: pigs, alpacas, cows, goats, rabbits, turkeys, chickens, sheep and more! Children love to check out the farm animals and the animals love the attention!
Planting
Bring your group to the farm in the spring to help plant pumpkins. Your group gets to go out into the field with a farmer and plant a row of pumpkin seeds while learning about how pumpkins grow!
The Farm
See how real farmers work! We enjoy sharing the diversity of the farm ecosystem with pre-school and elementary school children in our spring farm tours. We think it is important for the children to connect back with the land and gain some basic knowledge of the natural world.
